Dr. Amr Farrag, committed to patient care, research, and innovation, has practiced dentistry for over 19 years. He earned his dental degree with honours in 2006 and quickly established himself in both clinical practice and academia, serving as a teaching assistant while working as an associate dentist.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Farrag completed the Canadian equivalency process to obtain his dental license in British Columbia. He is pursuing a Masters degree and a Diploma in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Alongside his studies, he is also a clinical teaching assistant at UBC’s School of Dentistry, mentoring future dental professionals.
Dr. Farrag’s has received several awards, including:
- Association of Prosthodontics of Canada Award for Academic Achievement (2022)
- American College of Prosthodontics Education Foundation Research Fellowship Grant (2023)
- Dr. Christopher Wyatt Graduate Award in Dentistry (2024)
- Faculty of Dentistry Graduate Award (2024)
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters.
